"The naturally0derived THC that does not need a prescription."
The THC molecule is the same, no matter what product it is in. Naturally derived THC comes from the cannabis plant. If there is more than 0.3% THC in a product, it must be obtained in a state with legal medical cannabis. There are no prescriptions but depending on where you live, you might need a medical recommendation. There is a prescription, dronabinol, that contains a THC made in the laboratory. It is available in every state but the effect is not the same as THC in the plant. It is mainly used for pain relief, anti-nausea, and it stimulates the appetite. It is not covered by insurance unless you are on chemotherapy or have AIDS. Products that contain CBD with less than 0.3% THC can be used in almost any state. The exceptions are Kansas, Nebraska, and Idaho.
