Yes. Our practitioners will guide you in determining if cannabis is the right fit for you. From the privacy of your own home or office, ask all of your questions about cannabis and you’ll receive expert medical advice.

First, you sign up with the state’s Medical Marijuana Registry, and then you need to have a consultation with a licensed practitioner to get approved for your medical marijuana certification. In Pennsylvania this is fast and easy when you have an online Telehealth consultation with HelloMD. After you’re approved, you pay a $50 fee through your Medical Mariijuana Registry account, and within seven to 10 days you will receive your medical marijuana card in the mail.

No, you cannot. You must receive your actual medical marijuana card before you can buy cannabis from a licensed dispensary in Pennsylvania.

No, you can’t. Pennsylvania doesn’t recognize out-of-state medical marijuana cards.

Medical marijuana certifications expire after a year in Pennsylvania

The state will send an email notification 60 days before your patient certification and ID card expire. You must renew your registration through the Medical Marijuana Registry, and then get your patient certification through the HelloMD medical practitioner. Once you’re certified by the medical practitioner, a new card will be mailed to you at the address you listed in the patient portal. The card will have an issue date for the day after your original card expires.

Once you’ve received your medical cannabis card, you can purchase medical marijuana from a licensed dispensary. It’s easy to find a state-approved dispensary in your area, many of which offer home delivery. If you visit a physical location, dispensaries statewide have instituted COVID-19 safety protocols.

In Pennsylvania, medical marijuana patients are allowed to buy up to a 30-day supply of their medication. As a patient you can refill your supply during the last seven days of the 30-day period. If you have more than a 30-day supply amount, you are breaking the law.

If you have a medical marijuana card, you can buy a 30-day supply of cannabis flower, creams, gels, liquids, oils, ointments, pills, or tinctures.

The dosage is determined by a dispensary pharmacist, and patients may receive up to a 30-day supply at a time.

You can only buy and possess marijuana legally in Pennsylvania if you have a medical marijuana card. If you don’t have a medical marijuana card and are caught with cannabis on your person, you could face legal consequences for possession. The medical marijuana card also gives you access to a safe, high-quality supply of cannabis.

HelloMD has been helping patients understand and make the most of medical cannabis since 2015 throughout the United States and Canada. You’ll receive expert cannabis advice from supportive licensed practitioners. We’ve been rated #1 on Trustpilot, and if you’re not approved for your medical marijuana certification, you won’t pay.
