Under Missouri law, you are not able to visit a dispensary unless you have a state-issued digital copy of medical marijuana card in your hands.

No. There is no reciprocity between Missouri’s Medical Marijuana Program and other state medical marijuana programs. Just because you are licensed in another state doesn’t automatically qualify you for a license in Missouri.

Patient and caregiver medical marijuana licenses are valid for one year. After this they must be renewed. HelloMD can help you with your renewal.

After one year, you need to get recertified by the HelloMD licensed practitioner and submit your application and a $25.94 renewal fee to Missouri’s Medical Marijuana Registry Portal. Renewal applications and fees can be submitted no sooner than 60 days prior to the expiry date listed on the back of the license ID card.

Once you’ve received your medical cannabis card, you can purchase medical cannabis from a licensed dispensary. It’s easy to find a state-approved dispensary in your area, some of which offer home delivery.

The qualifying patient’s doctor may certify up to four ounces of dried, unprocessed marijuana, or its equivalent, in a 30-day period, which can be bought from a licensed dispensary. If there is a “compelling reason” why the person needs a greater amount, then the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services requires two independent physician certifications specifying what other amount the qualifying patient needs.

Registered medical marijuana patients are allowed to purchase up to 4 oz of cannabis in a variety of forms — dried unprocessed marijuana, concentrates, and THC-infused products.

Qualifying patients or their caregivers may purchase up to 4oz of dried, unprocessed marijuana, or its equivalent, in a 30-day period. In Missouri Marijuana Equivalency (MME), 3.5gm of dry marijuana = 1gm of concentrate = 100mg of THC-infused products. In Missouri, medical marijuana patients can obtain cultivation licenses to grow up to six flowering marijuana plants, six non-flowering marijuana plants (over 14-inches tall), and six clones (plants under 14-inches tall) at any given time in a single, enclosed locked facility
