SInce I don’t know what the patch contains, its hard to know what it was. That said, a patch will slowly release the compounds that are in it over a longer period of time and so the effect lasts longer. It is the same as why a edible lasts longer than vaping or smoking cannabis, an edible lasts longer and can help keep you asleep. Some people use a vape or tincture to help you go to sleep and an edible or patch to help keep them asleep.
