How much CBD is appropriate per day to combat inflammation?

I take CBD dominant tinctures on a daily basis and they seem to help with migraines and fibromyalgia. I am wondering what people think about the appropriate daily dosage. What is enough to have an effect when taken daily? As CBD tinctures tend to be pricey I take between 5mg-10mg daily. Is that enough to truly have an effect on body inflammation?

This is a billion dollar question and has yet to be answered. CBD or Cannabidiol is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid that shows potent anti-inflammatory effects, increasing our own natural cannabinoid levels by preventing their breakdown. CBD can be found in the stems, leaves, flowers and seeds of cannabis plants, based on their genetics and growing conditions. If the patient is healthy and relatively free of disease, I would reccomend around 5-10 milligrams of CBD per day. If a patient is actively combating an inflammatory condition such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, or other ailments, I would reccomend higher doses. I would start low and slowly increase the dose.

I don't get a lot of migraines, and I know it might depend on the type of migraines you get, but I I really like CBDa for migraines. It's the acid form of CBD (what's on the plant when it's first picked -- many people are juicing cannabis for these acid cannabinoids). I've had a couple of migraines in the last few months and I did about 1/2 dropper of tincture under my tongue, held it there for a minute or so, then swallowed. In about a half an hour, I felt the pain lift to a manageable level. After about an hour, I took another 1/2 dropper and same thing -- I felt the pain lift and was gone altogether. You may also want to increase cannabinoid intake daily, as the body loves microdosed cannabinoids, and it could help you stave off migraines. You might also need to try a few cannabinoids and ratios to find what's best for you.
