Although not about anxiety, a 2018 study peformed by researchers from the College of Veterinary Medicine, Cornell University concluded that
2mg CBD/kg, twice daily can help increase comfort and activity in dogs with osteoarthritis—
That works out to about:
1mg of CBD per every pound, twice daily.
Since your companion is 14lbs, I recommend that you give your canine companion one (7.5mg CBD) or two (15mg CBD) treats one hour before departure.
