"There was a CNN Special on cannabis and they interviewed all these sick kids. Is Charlottes Web the strain that was so helpful? "
Yes it is!
Charlotte's Web is a sativa strain developed by the Stanley brothers in Colorado and used to successfully treat Charlotte Figi, a young girl with severe, intractable, life-threatening seizures due to a rare condition called Dravet Syndrome.
Charlotte's condition is very high in cannabidiol, CBD, and very low (<0.3%) in THC. Strains with these characteristics may be helpful for the treatment of chronic pain, migraine headaches, and seizure prevention while having minimal (if any) intoxicating effects.
