Does CBD help with constipation and IBS?

Hello. Cannabis may be able to help with IBS by helping alleviate clinical endocannabinoid deficiency. Per the article below, some studies have found that low levels of cannabinoids in the body may contribute to conditions such as IBS. In terms of constipation related to IBS, we have a number of folks who've weighed in on the subject. @dredmunds says: "... cannabis has been used for thousands of years to alleviate constipation. Cannabis has anti-emetic and anti-spasmodic properties and may relax your bowels." He also recommends that you see your doctor to rule out any underlying disease. Meanwhile @andrewvanmd says: "Everyone is different, so in dosing I would start low and increase the dose as tolerated. I would also recommend a whole plant cannabis extract that uses the female flowers of CBD rich cananbis plants."
