Q&A

California requires a wet signature on recommendation, can I request another wet signed recommendation?

Hi there!

I am afraid we would be unable to provide a wet ink signature as the doctors are not local to us. We do see a minority of dispensaries that believe that a "wet signature" is required for entrance. However, there is nothing in CA law that requires this and there is no mention of anything regarding digital versus handwritten signatures.

Here is the first passage of prop 215 SB 420:ย
ย "SB 420, Vasconcellos. Medical marijuana.
Existing law, the Compassionate Use Act of 1996, prohibits any physician from being punished, or denied any right or privilege, for having recommended marijuana to a patient for medical purposes. The act prohibits the provisions of law making unlawful the possession or cultivation of marijuana from applying to a patient, or to a patient’s primary caregiver, who possesses or cultivates marijuana for the personal medical purposes of the patient upon the written or oral recommendation or approval of a physician."

Hi there!

I would suggest trying to use a different dispensary. We have thousands of patients across California who have used our recommendations without any issue.

Please check out our business directly. You can access it here: www.hellomd.com/biz
You can browse products and various dispensary services. You can select "Business Type" or "Fulfillment" to filter your search options.

I hope this information helps! ๐Ÿ™‚
