Without knowing where you live, I can tell you that in my community (Mendocino County), nearly all of our dispensaries have limited programs to assist patients with financial need by reducing fees for cannabis products. Some require a bit of information to verify your level of financial need, but in my experience, someone with a long-term, legitimate need for cannabis can and will be helped in some way. This is not to say that you should expect "free cannabis for life." But it is always worth asking your local, trusted dispensary for support and guidance.
