Q&A

What kind of cannabis oil do you suggest for severe back pain?

"I have never smoked before. I was thinking of vaping. What type of oil do you suggest and where do I buy it?"

I’m sorry to hear about your pain. I would highly recommend our True OG or Grand Daddy Purple oil, available in cartridge or in All-in-One, to alleviate your pain, reduce inflammation and help you get a restful sleep, which we all know is one of the best medicines of all! Each of these strains is an Indica, and each has a cannabinoid and terpene profile that should provide relief for your condition.

Since you’ve never smoked before vaping is a good solution. For your back pain, you’ll want a high-THC strain: I might try Girl Scout Cookies from Kurvana. When you vape, try a 5-second pull on your pen, then give it 20 mins to gauge the effect.

You can also try capsules (or certain brands of edibles) in order to manage your dosing. If you are going to try an edible or capsule, start with 5mg and wait 45 mins to an hour to feel the effect.

Be Well!

I would definitely recommend vaping! Kurvana is my favorite brand and I second Niko there. G.S. Cookies is a hybrid and a good daytime/afternoon option for back pain. You may find more success with Kurvana’s Banana Smoothie vaporizer, which is a 2:1 THC:CBD oil blend. I found the high very pleasant and the THC in combination with the CBD gave me more relief than just the THC alone.

Also, never discount topicals! They work wonders for my back pain! I think the direct application of cannabinoids to the muscles works much better than inhaling them. Combining both methods seems to be the most effective.
