It all depends on the cause of the renal failure. If the renal failure was 2ndary to overuse of NSAIDS (i.e. naproxen, Ibuprofen, etc), then using cannabis products in lieu of NSAIDS for pain mgmt could potentially help renal function. In general, I would keep in touch with your primary MD and look for any other reversible factors (i.e. is your blood pressure being controlled? How about any issue w/ diabetes? Has your vitamin D level been checked?). Please let us know what else is happening so we might be able to possibly offer better advice!
