Cooler fall weather brings with it the desire for a warm beverage. When October rolls around, I find myself craving apples in every form. One of my all-time favorites is hot apple cider. The only way to make it even better? Add marijuana. This recipe is very easy to prepare and perfect for a holiday party, or a nice way to treat yourself on a Sunday afternoon.
How to Medicate Your Hot Apple Cider
This alcohol-free recipe is enhanced with a CBD tincture. Whatever you use, always refer to the recommended dosage on the tincture bottle for guidance.
- 8 cups apple cider
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 inch fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp whole cloves
- 3 star anise
- 3 to 6 tsp CBD tincture
Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan and simmer over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes. Pour into mugs and serve. You can also leave out the tincture until the end and add a dose to each mug depending on that’s person’s preference.
